When my children were small, we always decorated cookies at Christmas. In fact, for several years, we had a Christmas party with lots of cookies, bowls of sugary icing and LOTs of sprinkles for everyone to use to decorate.  At that time, I was more focused on quantity and the types of sprinkles--I think my recipe was of the slice and bake variety! And the messes we made were great!  But the joy of watching the kids create and the finished projects they made were some of my favorite memories of spending time with my children.  

So, now they are all grown and gone from home.  And I still like to bring back those memories--with a little less mess and a few fewer sprinkles. Somewhere in the last few years, I have begun to try and experiment with various recipes of cookies, icings and glazes to try to perfect what I feel like is the perfect sugar cookie. Along the way, I've been able to share my cookies with family and friends for many kinds of occasions with positive feedback from my "customers."

And now I have decided to take the plunge and do this on a larger scale.I love the smiles people get when they see the cookies and love when they say "and they even taste good, too!"  I am happy to share these cookies with you . . . each one made with a lot of love and just a touch of lemon.
